SHOOTING NEWS 2007
The Louma 2 telescopic crane goes through the new Peugeot.
For a commercial for the new Peugeot car, the famous director Bruno Aveillan wanted a shot where the camera was travelling inside the car from front to rear. Given the limited space available the shot was requesting the use of a periscope lens. The great rigidity and fluidity of the Louma 2 telescopic arm has allowed the director to travel the camera through the car with great stability and precision.

Louma 2 slims down for Keira Knightley !
The new Louma 2 crane of Loumasystems has been used on several scenes of the feature film “The Duchess” starring Keira Knightley and Ralph Fiennes. One of the scenes had for location the monumental Ballroom of the Town Hall of the city of Bath in the UK. Even though the Town Hall Ballroom was quite big and sized for the scope of the 32’ telescopic arm of the Louma 2, the only access was a very narrow door. One of the many features of the Louma 2 is that its pneumatics come off relatively easily, thus reducing the width of its dolly. Therefore it is on boogees wheels and tracks that the new crane managed to pass the door. The crane has then been able to assure the coverage of a big ballroom scene involving Keira Knightley, Ralph Fiennes and several actors and extras in their 18th century costumes.

The classic cranes of Loumasystems have been used to offer spectacular points of view at the closest of the trains as they go by. These stunning shots have been possible with respect of the elementary rules of safety.
A Supertechno 50 follows Jacky Chan’s stunts on « Rush Hour 3 ».
A Supertechno 50 from Loumasystems has been used for the final sequence of the third sequel from famous director Brett Ratner. For this scene where the stunt starts on the Eiffel Tower and finishes in the middle of the pools and waterfalls of the Trocadero esplanade, the director wanted to be able to follow the action to the nearest, especially when Jacky Chan and Chris Tucker fight each other in the water of the Trocadero’s pools. The long arm of the Loumasystems ST50 (15 meters), equipped with its telescopic rain cover has fully responded to the desire of the director, allowing him to not only cover the scene with close ups above the water, but also with wide angle points of views at 15 meters height.
