The Supertechno 50 on the edge of the chasm
One Supertechno 50 (15 meters) from Loumasystems has been used for the shooting of the remake of the famous classic « L’auberge rouge », produced by Christian Fechner and directed by Gérard Krawczyk (Taxi). One of the scenes of the movie requested to follow the perilous progress of one stuntman / actor during its climbing of the steep slopes of the « Pont d’Espagne » chasm in the Pyrenees. The 36 feet of dynamic telescopic range of the ST50 and its high telescopic column which allows the arm to tilt down more than 50 degrees have permitted to follow the action to the nearest of the stuntman without endangering the camera crew. The telescopic rain cover of the Supertechno 50’ has protected the crane from the raining weather as well as from the spray of the nearby waterfall.

The Scorpio stabilized head flies above coblestones
A Scorpio Stab from Loumasystems has been used with great success on director Laurent Tirard long feature « Molière ». One of the scenes of the movie requested to achieve a tracking shot on a coblestone alley leading to a castle. The Scorpio stab has been mounted at the end of a Loumasystems Supertechno 30 installed on a low loader tracking vehicle. The camera was thus able to film in motion the horses legs through the wheels of the carriage, before raising in the air to reveal the arrival of this one in the courtyard of the castle. After this shot, the Supertechno 30 has been quickly unloaded from the low loader to achieve several shots around the castle.

Loumasystems supplier of camera cranes on Da Vinci Code
The production of Da Vinci Code has trusted Loumasystems for the supply of the remote controlled cranes on the French part of the shooting. Several types of cranes have been used, among them: Akela crane, Techno 15, Supertechnos 30 and 50. Some nights, 3 cranes from Loumasystems were used simultaneously, scattered on the various units. Supertechnos have even been used inside the Louvre Museum requiring a special attention from the technicians (scouting ahead of time to validate the access of the cranes, use of carpets underneath certain elements to protect the wooden floors, etc.). One Akela crane has been used on several sets and especially for a spectacular shot around the famous pyramid of the Louvre Museum.

La ScorpioStab résout un problème d’ascenseur.
La tête Scorpio stabilisée de Loumasystems a été utilisée récemment sur un film publicitaire pour Yves Saint Laurent. La réalisatrice Sam Taylor-Wood souhaitait réaliser un travelling vertical dans une cage d’escalier avec une grande pureté esthétique. Le plan était particulièrement difficile à mettre en place puisqu’il commençait avec la camera piquée à la verticale enchaînant ainsi plusieurs rotations avant de se redresser pour continuer a filmer la progression de la camera dans la cage d’escalier « en colimaçon ».Toute colonne télescopique verticale était à exclure car elle aurait été dans le champ de la caméra. Le chef machiniste a alors conçu un système sophistiqué de suspension par câbles et a fait appel à la tête Scorpio stabilisée de Loumasystems pour résoudre les problèmes de stabilité liés à toute masse suspendue à des câbles.

La Louma survole les fans de Mylène Farmer.
Une Louma TV, en version 10 mètres, a été utilisée récemment sur une série de concerts de Mylène Farmer à Bercy. Les Louma TV sont particulièrement appréciées pour les captations de concert en raison de leur profil mince et de la faible obstruction qu’elles offrent au regard du public. Le réalisateur, François Hanss, qui avait déjà fait appel à la Louma en 2000 lors du précèdent concert de l’artiste à Bercy, a pu couvrir l’événement avec un maximum d’efficacité en variant les emplacements de la grue d’un soir à l’autre. Par ailleurs, les Louma TV sont équipées d’un système de sécurité, certifié par le Bureau Veritas, qui limite la hauteur de la caméra au dessus du public.
